As part of plans to explore more viable means to manage micro credit, Delta State Government yesterday signed a Memorandum of understanding with the foundation for Partnership Initiative in the Niger Delta (PIND).

According to Shimite, the evidential works of PIND endeared them to the government adding that with the signage, training and retraining of micro credit participants would become more effective.
The Managing Director, PIND, Mr Tara Akala who applauded Senator Ifeanyi Okowa said the signage was in the right direction.
He said the key mandate of the foundation which was established in 2010, is yo create access to micro credit finance for people.
According to him, their delight was most founded on the fact that their is an existing and functioning agency in Delta State which addresses the issue of Micro Credit.
He promised to follow keenly the tenets of the programme for effective delivery.
